We held our Sports Day on the 20th of June. There were many fun novelty races. The children had ice cream to cool them down at lunchtime. They all got a gold medal for their participation. Everyone enjoyed the day.
On Tuesday the 12th of June our 6th class pupils, Adam, Rivers, Senan and Saoirse had their Graduation Mass followed by the presentation of medals and certificates. They celebrated this occasion with their families, teachers and Fr Byrnes. We had a really lovely evening and are very sad to say Goodbye to Adam, Rivers, Senan and Saoirse. …
Robyn brought in her new kittens. There was great excitement. How cute.
Abbie,Karly Allie, Eve and Daragh made their First Holy Communion on the 20th May. It was a very special day and they all looked fabulous. Congratulations to you all.
Rob Johnson professional tennis coach came to the school to teach classes juniors right up to sixth the rules and skills of tennis. The children really enjoyed the experience. We had 5 tennis lessons
Bishop John Kirby came to visit the children of 5th and 6th class on the 3rd of May in preparation for their Confirmation which was on the 12th of May. It was a very special day for the children and their families.
Children from the 4th, 5th and 6th class took part in a the Hurling Mini Sevens in Mullagh. They all put in a great effort and they had a fantastic day taking part. Well done to them and their team manager Ms Madden.
The children in the junior room went on their school tour to Busy Bees and JumpLanes in Galway on the 7th June. The activities included jump and disco party, Slides, Ball pools, mazes, bouncing castle, soccer pitches, indoor trampoline and roller skate disco. They all had a brilliant time.
The senior room went to UL Sports in Killaloe on the 2nd of May for their school tour. They took part in sailing, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, archery and team challenges. They all had a fantastic day.
Connacht Rugby came to the school to record the children. It was shown at John Muldoon’s last match on Saturday 28th April in Galway.
