We had a 5K Fun Run/Walk on June 19th. There was a great turnout. Congratulations to Andrew Canning on the first home.
A great day was had by all during the Sports Day.
The Senior Room- classes 3rd to 6th went to NUIG on Monday 13th June for their school tour. They did zorbing, wrecking ball, wall climbing, wobbly ladder, roller racers and disco domes , cup stacking and lots of other activities. A great day was had by all.
Justin came to visit the children with his son’s dog “Quizzer”. The Irish Dogs help people with visual impairment and they are also used as assistance dogs. John Muldoon gave us a surprise visit on June 2nd bringing in the PRO12 Cup to show the children. The students, staff and Board of Management would like to congratulate him and the Connacht Rugby team on their great success in winning the PRO12 title. John is a past pupil of Gortanumera N.S.
Congratulations to the 2nd class children who made their First Holy Communion on Sunday 22nd of May in Church of the Ascension, Gortanumera. The children worked very hard all year to prepare for this special day and their hard work paid off when they did a fantastic job. We are very proud of you.
