We held our Sports Day on the 20th June. There were many fun novelty races. The children had ice –cream to cool them down at lunchtime. They all got a gold medal for their participation. Everyone enjoyed the day.
Congratulations to the children in Portumna FC who received medals from the club at the clubs awards night. Also, congratulations to Andrew for getting Most Improved Player of the year for the U11’s and congratulations to David Greenwood who captained the u13s to victory of the shield this year.
The children in the Junior Room learnt valuable lessons on road safety and received a road safety pack to take home.
The Board of Management held a 5k Fun Run/Walk on Sunday, the 11th of June. It was a great success and we are very grateful to all who supported it. Mark Cox was the first child back. Well done Mark. On Wednesday 31st of May our 6th class boys, Nathan, David and Simon had their Graduation Mass, presentation of medals and certificates. The Junior Room went off to Athlone to Glendeer Pet Farm and Jump4Joy on their school tour on May 5th. They had a fantastic day and were all very tired by the time they got home!
On Thursday May 4th the Senior Room hit Athlone to Baysports for our school tour. We had an amazing and challenging day with both land and water activities. We really enjoyed it and were wrecked by the time we got home!
